    Abstract
  • Aseriesofpenetrationtestsonconcretetargetsbysteelprojectilesatnormalincidencewere carriedoutbyusinghigh-velocitypenetrationequipments.Thepenetrationability,stabilityanddeformation/ fractureoftheprojectilesunderhigh-velocityimpactwereinvestigated.Itisshownthat transitionofsteelprojectilesfromrigidtodeformablestate,curvedtrajectory,projectileserosion andbending/failurearetypicalphenomenaobservedinhigh-speedpenetrationofconcretetargets.
