  • BasedontheK- modelandtheimprovededdybreak-up(EBU)model,anewtheoretical modelwasestablishedtodescribethemethanejetdiffusioninducedbywellblowoutandthemethaneaircloudexplosion. Andthemethane-airclouddiffusionwasconsideredinthenew model.Byusing thenew model,theSIMPLEalgorithm wasadoptedtosolvedifferentialequations.Theformation processofthemethane-aircloudwasnumericallysimulatedtoinvestigatetheeffectsofdifferentignitionsonthemixturecloudexplosion. Theresultsshowthattheignitionlocationsandthegascloud concentrationsattheignitionpointscanaffectmarkedlythegascloudexplosion.Thenearertheignitionpointawayfromthegascloudcenterandthehigherthegasconcentrationattheignitionpoint, themoreintenselythegascloudexplodes.
