Abstract:Guidedbombsweretakenastheresearchobjectstonumericallysimulatethepenetration
andexplosionprocessoflarge-aperture-heavy weaponsbyusingathree-dimensionalarbitraryLagrange-
Eulerian(ALE)codeandtoexploredamageeffectsofarollercompactedconcretegravitydam
undercontinuousattacksoftwoprecision-guidedbombs.Resultsshowthatthevibrationcausedby
penetrationisweak,whiletheparticlevibrationismainlycausedbyammunitionexplosion.Theintermissiontimeofsequentialattacksisfarlongerthanthedynamicresponsestretchofthedam,
andthe
damvibrationcausedbysequentialattacksscarcelytakesonthesuperpositioneffect.Butthedamage
effectofpenetrationandexplosionfortheformermissileprovidesthefreedomsurfaceforthesubsequentmissile,
andthepenetrationdepthandexplosion-damagedrangeofthesubsequentmissileincrease.
Theexplosion-damagedrangesbasicallyconnectwitheachother,whichthreattothenormal
runningandsecurityofthedam.
