Abstract
Thegenerationandflightoffragmentsarestochasticandcancausemoreseverehazards.
Studyingonthedominoeffectstudycausedbythefragmentsfromexplosionishotspotanddifficulty.
Basedondynamicanalysis,thepresentworkextendedthetwo-dimensionalfragmenttrajectoryequationintothree-
dimensionalsystem,andtookwindintoaccount.ThepresentanalysistookacylindricaltankinMexicoCitywithboilingliquidexpandingvaporexplosionasanexample,
andthetrajectoryoffragmentwassimulatedbyMonte-
Carlomethod.Seenfromtheprobabilitiesoffragmentranges
tobereachedwith/withoutwind,windhaslessimpactonthehazardcausedbyfragments.Theimpactprobabilityofafragmentonatargetwithnowindwasattained,
impactprobabilitywiththetank
showedtheincreaseofdistancebetweenthestrictexponentialdecaytrend,andthroughthisrelationship,
thetankspacingincompliancewithsafetyrequirementscanbecalculated.Thepaperprovidesa
methodwhichisofgreatsignificancefortheriskassessmentandcontroloffragmentsfromtheexplosionofcylindricaltanks.
