Abstract
Thethermoelasticcouplingstabilityoftheaxiallymovingbeamundertheactionofuniformlydistributedtangentialfollowerforceswasinvestig
ted.Thedifferentialequationofmotionforthe
axiallymovingbeamundertheactionofuniformlydistributedtangentialfollowerforceswasestablished,
andtheeigenequationfortheaxiallymovingbeamwithtwokindsofboundaryconditionssubjectedtofollowerforceswasderivedbyanormalizedpowe
seriesmethod.Thefirstthreeordersdimensionlesscomplexfrequenciesofthesystem
werecalculated,andtheeffectsofthedimensionless
movingspeed,thedimensionlessthermoelasticcouplingfactor,thedimensionlessfollowerforceson
thestabilityoftheaxiallymovingbeaminthethermoelasticcouplingcasewereanalyzed.
