Abstract
Toinvestigatethecaseoffragmentsdroppingandcombustionpropertychangingofbase
bleedpropellantgrainresultingfromtheeffectofencroachmentanddesquamationcausedbythejetof
ignition,thesemi-closedbombwasusedtosimulatethestageofrapiddepressurizationafterbase
bleedprojectileflightoutofthenozzle.Theserialimagesofignitionandcombustionofbasebleed
propellantgrainwererecordedbymeansofhighspeedvideosystem.Themathematicmodelofcombustionofbasebleedpropellantinthesemi-
closedbombwasbuilt.Thechangesofaveragepressure,
massflowrateandcombustiontimefordifferentqualityoftotalfragmentswerecalculatedandanalyzed.
Thestudyresultsareasfollows:Thephenomenonofencroachmentanddesquamationhappen
atinitialstagesofignition;Thefragmentsaredesquamatedfromthepartofbasebleedpropellant
grainnotbeingignited;Theeffectofencroachmentanddesquamationiscausedbytheencroachment
andimpactofignitionjet;Themassofallfragmentsis(7-9)percentoftheinitialmassofthebase
bleedpropellant;Theactionofencroachmentanddesquamationaffectsseriouslytheconsistenciesof
ignitionofigniterandcombustionofbasebleedpropellantgrain.Thecalculationresultsagreewell
withtheexperimentalresults.
