Abstract
Thepropagationofexplosionstresswavesinstripscontaininganobliqueedgecrackwasanalyzed.
Andaseriesofcausticexperimentswereconductedtoexplorethecrackextensionunderblast
loading.Investigatedresultsshowthatthecrackgrowthvelocity,accelerationanddynamicstressintensityfactorsfluctuateduringthepropagationoftheobliqueedgecrackunderexplosionstress
waves.Themaximumvaluesofthecrackgrowthvelocity,accelerationanddynamicstressintensity
factorKdⅠ atthecracktipare222m/s,11.01MN/s2and0.735MN/m3/2,respectively.Thetensile
fieldatthetipoftheobliqueedgecrackisamainfactortoinducecrackinitiationandpropagation.
