Abstract
Aseriesoftestswereconductedontheeffectsofexplosioninsidethetunnelentrancetoexploretheshockwavepropagationinsidethemultilevelga
lerystructuresinthedifferentcasesofthe
endsopenorclose.Andtheloadsactingontheprotectivedoorandthesecondaryshockwaveevolvementbehindthedoorwereinvestigated.
Themagnituderelationswereobtainedfortheattenuation
andvariationofshockwaveoverpressurebetweeneachtwosectionsofthegallery.Thetestresults
demonstratethatthemultilevelgallerystructurecannotonlyattenuatethepeakpressureoftheshock
wavesignificantly,butitismoreeconomicalthanasinglestraighttunnelwiththesameattenuation
degreeofshockwavepressure.
