Abstract
Theemulsionexplosiveswerechargedintothecurvedgroovemachinedonanironplate.
Thedetonationvelocitiesoftheemulsionexplosivesweremeasuredbyusingtheshortingpinsinthe
casesofdifferentchargecross-sectionalareasanddifferentchargecurvatures.Andtheinfluencesof
thechargediametersandthechargecurvaturesonthedetonationpropagationvelocitiesintheemulsionexplosiveswereanalyzed.
Itisshownthatthedetonationvelocitiesdecreaselinearlywiththedecreasingofthechargecurvatureradiiandthechargediametersquare.
Whenthechargediameteror
thecurvatureradiusreducesbelowacertaincriticalvalue,thedetonationreactionceases.Basedon
theexperimentaldata,anempiricalformulawasproposedforcalculatingthedetonationvelocityofthe
emulsionexplosivesintheconditionthatthecurvatureradiusandthechargediameterweregiven.
