Abstract
Liquidjetsformedwhenbubblescausedbyunderwaterexplosioncollapsecouldseriously
threatenthelocalstrengthofwarships.Inordertostudythedamageeffectofvesselstructuresubjectedtobubblejet,
aseriesofunderwaterexplosiontrialswereperformedbyusingatypicalcabinmodel.
Waterpressure,bubblepulsatingcycle,thedynamicstrainandplasticdeformationofoutplates
wereobtained.Dynamicalresponsesofcabinstructurewithvariousimpulsivefactorswereanalyzed,
waterpressurewasmeasured,theoccurrenceofbubblejetwasthendiscussed.Damageeffectandinfluencerangeofoutplatescausedbybubblejetwereinvestigated.
Theresultsshowedthatcompared
withshockwaveload,thejetimpactcouldconcentratebubbleenergyandcauseseriousdamagetolocalstructureofwarships.
Undercertaincircumstance,thedamageeffectcausedbybubblejetwould
bemoreseriousthanthatcausedbyshockwaveloading.Therefore,intheresearchonproximityunderwaterexplosion,
inadditiontotheshockwaveloading,thebubbleloadingcouldnotbeneglected.
