  • Withfluid-solidcouplingalgorithmbasedonthepenaltyfunctionofnon-lineardynamicfiniteelementprogram ANSYS/LS-DYNA,thedynamicresponseprocessofthethick-walledcylinder subjectedtointernalcylindricalchargeexplosionwasnumericallysimulated.Theevolutionoftheunsteadyblastflowfieldinthecylinderandthedynamicresponseofthecylinderwereanalyzed. Pressurecontourofblastflowfield, thedistributionofblastpressureandimpulseoninnerwallofthecylinder, von-Misesstresscontour,thedistributionofvon-Misesstressweregiven.Simulationresults ofblastpressureandhoopstrainwereingoodagreementwithexperimentalresults,andcalculation resultsofdynamicresponsewerecomparedwiththetheoreticalsolution.Itwasprovedthatthetheoreticalsolutionbasedonplane- strainassumptionmaygiveaconservativeestimateforthisproblem. Theresultsshowthatthethick-walledcylindersubjectedtointernalcylindricalchargeexplosionwas inelasticstate,andthedesignoftheblastchamberissafeincarryingcapacity.Theanalysesarehelpfultosimilardesignandsafeuseofblastchambers.
