Abstract
Basedonthecoldenergymixturetheory,theequationsofstateweregivenforthecompactionmultifunctionalenergeticstructuralmaterials(
MESMs)undershockcompressionbyusingthe
Hugoniotrelationsofthecomponents.AndcombiningtheabovemethodandtheWu-Jingmodel,the
equationsofstatewereproposedfortheporousMESMsundershockcompressionalongtheisobaric
paths.Toverifytheaccuracyofthecalculations,theHugoniotrelationswerecalculatedforthetypicalmetalparticlemixture(
W/Cu)andthetypicalMESMs(Al/Ni,Ni/TiandAl/Fe2O3/epoxy),respectively.
Thetheoreticalcalculationsagreewellwiththecorrespondingexperimentalresults.The
shockcompressioncharacteristicsoftheMESMscanbeevidentlyinfluencedbytheirporositiesand
theproportionsofthecomponentsinthem.
