  • Basedonthe60-mm-diameterexplosively-formedprojectile(EFP)warheadwithanarc-cone liner,amultipleexplosively-formedprojectile(MEFP)warheadwasdesignedbyfixinganejectable cross-shapedreseauinaproperplaceinfrontofthelinerasthecuttingdevice.Andthearmor-piercing effectofthedesignedMEFPwarheadwasinvestigatedbycarryingoutstatic-explosiontests.Theresultsindicatethatthedesignedwarheadcanbecutinto5EFPswhichhaveacertainmassanddirection, andcanpenetratethrougha6-mm-thick45steeltarget.Itiseffectivetoincreasedamageelementsanddamagearea. TheprocessoftheMEFPspenetratingthroughthe45steeltargetswasnumericallyanalyzedbyusingLS- DYNA3D.TheballisticlimitingvelocityformulaoftheEFPswith differentsizesandstructureswereobtainedbyprocessingthesimulateddataofthecenterEFPpenetratingthroughthe45steeltarget
