  • Theappearanceofinsensitiveammunitionhascreatednewrequirementsfortheboosterpelletsofthedetonationtrain. Traditionalcylindricalboosterpelletshavemuchdifficultyinmeetinginsensitiveammunitionsdemandofreliabledetonation. Thedesigntheoryofhigh-effect-boostercharge structure,initiationprocess,initiationforce,andthehighoutputoflittlequantity,offerscientific supportforthedevelopmentofinsensitiveammunitionintechnique.So,aspecialboosterpelletwas designedthroughthecombineduseofshockinitiationtheory,effectivechargetheory,shapedcharge effectaswellascornereffecttheory.Theinitiationcapacityofthespecialboosterpelletwasstudied byusingthevaried-compositionmethodandaxialsteeldentmethodofmaincharge.Theresultsshow thattheinitiationcapacityofthespecialboosterpelletisbetterthanthatofthecylindricalboosterpellet. Theinitiationcapacityofthespecialboosterpelletisaffectedbytheareaeffectcoefficientandincreaseswiththeincreaseoftheareaeffectco fficient.Thespecialboosterpelletcanmeetthedemands oftheinsensitiveammunition.
