Abstract
TheequationofstateofgasdetonationproductswasdescribedbyRosssmodificationof
hard-spherevariationtheoryandtheimprovedone-fluidvanderWaalsmixturemodel.TheGibbsfree
energyofdissociatedcarbonwascalculatedforthemostprobablestate,whichwasdeterminedbydistinguishingthefollowingfourstatesofcarbon:
graphite,diamond,graphitelikeanddiamondlike.
Theequilibriumcompositionsofdetonationproductsarecalculatedbysolvingchemicalequilibriumequationsbasedonminimizingfreeenergy.
ThedetonationpropertiesattheCJpointofPBX9502explosivewerecalculatedwiththistheory.
Theresultsshowsatisfactoryagreementwiththeexperimentaldata.
Comparisonoftheisothermalpressure-densitycurvesdisplaysthattheresultscalculated
withthepresenttheoryareingoodagreementwiththosebasedonSesamedatabaseathightemperature.
Aslopeisfoundat5802Kisotherm.Thereasonisthatthecarbonphaseischangedatthis
point.
