Abstract
Bytakingintoaccountthewholeplasticdeformationandelasticdeformationrecoveryoftargetsduringthepenetrationoftherigid,
sharp-noseprojectiles,theANSYS/LS-DYNAcodewasused
tocalculatethereboundvelocitiesoftheprojectilesandtargetsinthecasesthattheprojectilesatthe
samevelocitiespenetratedintothetargetswithdifferentwidthsandthicknesses.Influencesofthesizesofthetargetsandtheimpactvelocitiesoftheprojectilesontheelasticrecoveryofthetargetsand
thereboundoftheprojectileswereanalyzed.Theresearchedresultsarehelpfulfortheengineering
andexperimentaldesignsoftheprojectileswithlowvelocitiespenetratingintothetargets.
