Abstract
TheKelvinimpulseprinciplewasappliedtoanalyzethemajorinfluencefactorsintheformationofthewaterjetbytheinteractionbetweenanunderw
terexplosionbubbleandawaterbottom
boundary.Andaseriesofexperimentswereconductedinawatertanktoinvestigatethewaterjet
phenomenainducedbytheinteractionbetweenbubblesandahorizontallyplacedsteelplate.Thedistancebetweentheexplosiveandthesteelplatewaschangedwiththedifferentexperimentalconditions.
Theoscillationpicturesofthewaterjetswerecapturedbyahigh-speedcameraandthepulse
pressuresofthebubbleswereobtainedbypressuresensorsatthepositionswiththedifferentdistances
awayfromtheexplosionsource.Boththetheoreticalanalysisandtheexperimentalresultsshowthat
theBjerknesforceincreasesmarkedlywiththedecreasingdistancebetweentheexplosiveandthesteel
plate,andthecriticalcondition,fortheformationofthewaterjetbytheinteractionbetweenthebubbleandthehorizontallyplacedsteelplate,
isthattheexplosiondistanceisshorterthanthemaximum
bubbleradius.Andthewaterjethasadistinctorientationanditcanremarkablydamagethetarget.
