Abstract
BasedonthenonlineardynamicssoftwareLS-DYNA,thecompleteprocessofjetparallel
penetratingair/steeltargetinterfacewasnumericallysimulated.Byanalyzingtheprocessandresultof
numericalsimulation,thevelocityoftheshapedchargejettipandthetransversevelocityafterimpact
werediscussed.Theresultsshowthatattheair/steeltargetinterfacetheaxialvelocityoftheshaped
chargejettipdecreasesevidentlyandtheshapedchargejettipisreducedtomovingtransversely,the
highesttransversevelocityofwhichisabout1.8km/s;thatthetransversevelocitiesofthesubsequentjetsdecreasegraduallyandthejetdisruptionisantedated.
Consequently,theair/steeltargetinterfacecanmarkedlydisturbtheshapedchargejettipandeffectivelyweakenthejetpenetration.
