Abstract
Inengineeringapplicationofexplosionweldingoflarge-sizedTi/steelplates,weldingdefectsarealwaysfoundintheparticularareaofplatesboundary.
Inordertosolvethisproblem,the
dynamicprocessofexplosionweldingisinvestigatedbythenumericalsimulation.Foldingdeformationcanbediscoveredduringtheexplosionweldingbasedontheresearchonthemorphologicalchangesoftheflyerplateatdiffere
ttimes.Thecalculationresultsareingoodagreementwiththeexperiments.
Thestudiesshowthatfoldingdeformationisacrucialproblemwhichshouldbenoticedinthe
processofexplosivewelding.Thereasonsforthefoldingdeformationarediscussedinthepaper.The
conclusioncanprovideareferenceforthedevelopmentofexplosionweldingtechnology.
