Abstract
AdamageimagingmethodusingLambwaveandmatchingpursuitmethodforcontinuous
on-linemonitoringofcompositewasproposed.First,asignalprocessingmethodisdevelopedusing
matchingpursuits.ItcandecomposeLambsignalsintoalinearexpansionofseveralchirpletatoms
withafastoperationspeed.Second,therelationshipbetweenLambwavesdispersionandchirplets
chirprateisdeveloped.Itshowsthatthechirpletatomcanmatchthedispersionpulseaccurately,and
itcanbeusedtoidentifythemodesofLambwaves.Third,accordingtothesignaldifferencebefore
andafterdamage,adamageindexcanbegetfromthedifferencesintheenergycharacteristicsoflamb
wave.TheimagethatindicatesthedamagecanbeobtainedbytheRAPIDalgorithm.Theexperimentalresultsdemonstratetheapplicabilityandeffectivenessoftheproposedmethod.
