Abstract
Abstract:Undergroundexplosionexperimentswiththeexplosionequivalentof100kgTNTwereperformedindifferentgeologicalmediums,
suchasloess,sand-gravelcompositeandgranite.Andthe
correspondingsurfacegroundmotionsinducedbyundergroundexplosionswereobservedbyaseriesof
seismometers.Byusingtheseobserveddata,thesourceparameterswereobtained,aswellasthe
seismiccouplingefficiencyrepresentedbythesteadyvalueofreducedvelocitypotentialatlowfrequencies.
Experimentalresultsdisplaythatfortheundergroundexplosionswiththesamescaleddepth
ofburialandsameexplosionequivalent,theseismiccouplingefficiencywasstronglydependantonthe
sourcemediumpropertyinsuchawaythatthemediumstrengthplaysthemostsignificantrolesindeterminingtheseismiccouplingeffectandthenthe
orosityandthewatersaturation.Andbasedonthe
experimentaldata,thefeasibilityoftheempiricalformulaproposedbyM.D.Denny,etalwasanalyzedinestimatingtheseismiccouplingeffectofundergroundexplosionswiththeexplosionequivalent
of100kgTNT.
