Abstract
Basedonthetwo-dimensionalaxisymmetricEulerequationscouplingwithchemicalreactions,
thephenomenaofobliquedetonationinducedbyahypervelocityballinhydrogen-oxygen-nitrogen
mixturewerenumericallystudiedbyusingwavepropagationalgorithm withSuperbeelimiter.
Theresultsshowthatthestandingdetonationinducedbyaballshowthecompositestructureat
Damkohlernumberconditionslightlylargerthanthethreshold,whosestructureiscomposedofa
strongoverdrivenobliquedetonation,aweakoverdrivenobliquedetonation,areactingshockwave
andainertshockwave.Thereweretwosubsoniczoneandasupersoniczoneintheflowpastasphere
afterwave.Thesecondobliqueshockwavewasformedintheleewardsurfaceoftheball.
