Abstract
ThemesodeformationofthealuminumfoamspecimensimpactedbySHPBwassynchronouslycapturedbyusingahigh-
speedcamera.Andthestraindistributionandfailuremodesofthe
specimenswereanalyzed.Theinvestigationshowsthatthestraindistributioninthealuminumfoam
specimensisnotuniform,thestrainsandstrainratesnearthetwoendsofthespecimensaremuch
greaterthanthoseinthemiddleportionofthespecimens,whichmeansthattheassumptionofuniformdeformationofspecimensinSHPBtestcannotbestrictlysatisfiedforaluminumfoam.
Therefore,
somemodificationindataprocessingshouldbedoneintheSHPBtestsonaluminumfoam.
