Abstract
Forcreatingacreditablemodelforboltjointdamage,theexplosionshockdamagebehaviors
ofbolt-jointedstructureswereanalyzedbytheLS-DYNAcodeandamethodforestablishingsimple
boltdamagemodelswasputforward.ThefiniteelementmodelofM24boltjointswasproposedand
prestresswasaddedbydroppingtemperature.Thedeformabledamagebehaviorsoftheboltandboltnutjointswithprestressandwithoutprestresswerecalculatedbycombiningtheconstitutivem
del
forelastic-plasticmaterialsandthesurface-surfacecontactalgorithm.Basedonthecalculatedresults,
theinfluencesofincidentshockwaveanglesandprestressmagnitudesonboltjointdamagebehaviors
weresummarizedandasimplifieddamagemodelwasdevelopedforthestructuresassembledbybolted
joints.Andsomeoptimizationschemeswerebroughtforwardforenhancingboltanti-shockability.
