Abstract
Itisasafetyguaranteeforexploration,developmentandutilizationofnaturalgascontaining
highcarbondioxidecomponenttograsptheexplosioncharacteristicsofmethaneandcarbondioxide
gasmixtures.Meanwhile,itisvaluableguidancefortheindustrialprocessesinvolvingmethaneand
carbondioxidesuchascoalgasification,inertization,explosionsuppressionandexplosionventing,to
masterrelatedexplosioncharacteristics.Inordertopromoteprogressofrelevantsubject,experimentalandtheoreticalinvestigationonexplosioncharacteristicsofmethaneandcarbondioxidegasmixtureisreviewedsystematicallyi
thispaper,includingtheexperimentsrelatedtoflammabilityregion,
explosionpressureandinertizationandtheoreticalpredictionofflammabilitylimits.Progress
andproblemsthatneedtobesolvedineveryfieldareanalyzed.Finally,thefuturehighlightsinthe
followingthreeaspectsareexpected:firstly,howtoimprovetheintegrality,comparabilityandapplicabilityofexperimentaldata;
secondly,themethodsandindexesofreliabilityassessmentfortheoreticalprediction;
furthermore,howtoextendapplicabilityoftheoreticalpredictionfromatnormaltemperatureandpressureconditionstomorecomplexsituations.
